Pitta

Your results suggest that you are mostly a Pitta type!

Pittas are usually of average stature with a fiery constitution. Your physical appearance most likely matches the Mesomorph body type.

Your fire is what gives you clarity and radiance but that fire can get the better of you! If out of balance, you may become easily angry or irritable, especially if hungry, so it’s important to eat your meals at the same time each day so that your body knows how to regulate itself properly.

Pitta types can sometimes find it hard to relax and switch off, so may suffer from poor sleep.

If Pitta types becomes out of balance, inflammation in the body may occur resulting in gastritis, stomach and intestinal ulcers, liver infections, acne, eczema and other skin diseases.

In Ayurveda, Pitta is related to fire qualities. Therefore, Pitta types require cooling and calming foods and experiences to balance their excitable tendencies and bring them back to centre.

Our tips for Pittas:

-Try not to skip meals as this will weaken your digestive fire and make you prone to irritability.

– Take regular exercise to get your heart pumping and regulate emotions. For your constitution the most beneficial exercise is that of moderate exertion such as jogging, dancing or cycling.

– Avoid extremes as you will be drawn to push yourself harder than is good for you. Aim for moderation and enjoyment in all aspects of your life.

-Avoid pungent or acidic foods as they can trigger inflammations such as gastritis and heartburn

-Try mindful exercises after work and before sleep to help you unwind after a stressful day

-Consume plenty of cooling foods and drinks such mint teas, coconut water and refreshing cucumber.
